Residency Exchange Program
La Belle Alliance (Metropole)
1.07-30.10.2010

Goethe-Institut / Lumiar Cité, Lisbon

La Belle Alliance (Metropole)

Part I
O Arenque do Brasil (Metropole)
Pedro Barateiro
01.07 - 29.08.2010, Lumiar Cité

O Arenque do Brasil (Metropole) is a reflection on presentation spaces, using critical appropriations that result in experimental places that emphasise the relationship between viewers and the work. The gallery space Lumiar Cité hosts an installation with modernist sculptural objects for contemplation, but which also create tensions born out of another "use" in which they function as "banal" radio station equipment.

Part II
La Belle Alliance (Metropole)
Claire de Santa Coloma, Niklas Lichti, Henning Lundkvist, Lone Haugaard Madsen, Nikolai Nekh, Sofia Berti Rojas, Steven Tallon, Andre Trindade, Leila Tschopp, Suse Weber, Sven Wenig

02.08 – 31.08.2010
Goethe-Institut Lisbon
Campo Mártires da Pátria, 37
1169-016 Lisboa

In August 2010 the Goethe-Institut in Lisbon is turning into a place for experiment. The focus of the residency is on process rather than result, on production rather than consumption. Pedro Barateiro’s radio studio (Part I) is also used by some participants, linking part I, II and III of La Belle Aliiance (Metropole). Eleven participants from several disciplines – e.g. music, painting, video, installation, performance, language art, cooking – get together to live, think, create, talk, exchange etc. Occasionally, participants and audiences from the outside are also invited.

Part III
Doppeldodi (Metropole)
Niklas Lichti, Lone Haugaard Madsen
16.09 - 30.10.2010, Lumiar Cité
