Gail Day is Senior Lecturer and Director of the MA in History of Art in the School of Fine Art, History of Art, and Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds. In 2011 she published the book Dialectical Passions: Negation in Post-War Art Theory.

Allan Sekula, Realism and Political Modernism
Steve Edwards is Head of Department of Art History at the Open University. His books include: The Making of English Photography, Allegories (2006) and Martha Rosler, The Bowery in two inadequate descriptive systems (2012). He is on the editorial boards of The Oxford Art Journal and of Historical Materialism.
Alberto Toscano
Labour, Logistics and the Critique of Abstraction
Alberto Toscano is Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Goldsmiths College, University of London. He is the author of Fanaticism: On the Uses of an Idea (2010), The Theatre of Production (2006), and of the forthcoming Cartographies of the Absolute (with Jeff Kinkle). He sits on the editorial board of Historical Materialism, and edits The Italian List for Seagull Books.
