The core activicy of the Maumaus School comprises an Independent Study Programme that offers artists an intellectually dense and practically dernanding "Think Tank" atrnosphere after their studies and first experiences in the are field. The Prograrnrne seeks to instigate discussions on contemporary philosophies concerning phenomena of our being (from artistic, historical and art historical, política! and sociological perspectives). This acadernic year, Mau maus holds the first pare of their prograrnrne of classes in Guimarães, where ne,vcomers will join its systern of seminars. The school programme will take place within a pri­vate component (seminars) and a public component (public talks).
